Investor KYC FAQ

The questions founders and token issuers ask us most before starting an investor identification process.

LEXR Finance GmbH is a Swiss financial intermediary affiliated with and supervised by the SRO VQF. It provides investor identification (KYC) and related financial-intermediary services separately from LEXR Law Switzerland AG. Client-attorney privilege does not apply to services provided by LEXR Finance GmbH, and clear measures are in place to maintain a distinction between the two entities.

Our KYC services cater to any type of token sale, including ICOs (Initial Coin Offerings), STOs (Security Token Offerings), IEOs (Initial Exchange Offerings), and other financial transactions where investor identification is required under Swiss AMLA or by best-practice compliance standards.

We offer in-person meetings, online verification, and agent-led video identification. We work with you to design an identification flow that meets your legal requirements while being as smooth and non-intrusive as possible for your investors.

Each identification process produces a comprehensive AML file tailored to your specific audit needs. This documentation supports your compliance obligations under the Swiss Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA) and satisfies the requirements of the SRO VQF.

Not necessarily. By outsourcing investor identification duties to LEXR Finance — itself a supervised SRO VQF member — you can maintain compliance with Swiss AMLA requirements without joining a self-regulatory organisation directly. This conserves both time and resources.

Video identification (complete and compliant) starts at CHF 25 per investor. Lightweight investor due diligence starts at CHF 5 per investor. A minimum fee of CHF 7'800 applies in all cases. For a personalised quote, book a free exploratory call.
