How we solve your challenges

From regulatory assessment to full SRO membership and ongoing AML compliance — the full process, in one team.

We provide you with a brief legal memorandum outlining your business model under Swiss financial market acts to evaluate what restrictions apply. AML regulations typically apply to businesses involved in asset transfers, payment systems, lending, or portfolio management. We help you understand your obligations within the broader regulatory framework. The SRO typically requires a brief regulatory assessment of the business model under financial market acts, especially for complex cases. Flat fee: CHF 3'800 (excl. VAT).

We handle your entire SRO membership application, leveraging our expertise and strong relationships with SROs to ensure a smooth process. Membership approval typically takes 2–4 months. We can also assist in designing AML policies, integrating software tools, and optimizing compliance for efficiency. Flat fee: CHF 6'500 (excl. VAT, excl. SRO application fees). For additional AML support or custom policies, contact us for a custom quote.

We draft tailored AML directives, onboarding processes, and monitoring systems aligned to your business model and the SRO's requirements — ensuring you are fully compliant from day one.

Rely on our experts for efficient, ongoing AML management. Our team can act as your outsourced AML officer, handling day-to-day compliance obligations so your team can focus on your core business.

We evaluate your existing AML policies and map gaps in regulatory compliance, providing a clear action plan to bring your documentation and processes up to standard.

Customized AML and sanctions compliance training for management and staff — keeping your whole organisation aligned with evolving Swiss and international regulatory requirements.

SRO membership FAQ

The questions financial intermediaries ask us most before applying for SRO membership.

Any business that qualifies as a financial intermediary under the Swiss Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA) but is not subject to direct FINMA prudential supervision must join a recognised self-regulatory organisation (SRO). This includes payment service providers, crypto exchanges, asset managers not already licensed by FINMA, and other financial intermediaries.

Membership approval typically takes 2–4 months from submission, depending on the SRO and the complexity of your business model. Our streamlined process and established relationships with SROs help to avoid unnecessary delays.

The SRO will require documents covering your corporate structure, business model, AML/KYC policies, beneficial ownership information, and relevant personnel. For complex business models, a brief regulatory assessment memorandum is also typically required. We handle the full preparation and collection of all required documentation.

LEXR charges a flat fee of CHF 6'500 (excl. VAT) for the SRO membership application. This excludes the SRO's own application fees, which vary by organisation. For a regulatory assessment of your business model, an additional flat fee of CHF 3'800 applies. For additional AML support or custom policies, we provide a custom quote.

Yes. Beyond the application, we offer ongoing AML compliance services including acting as outsourced AML officer, drafting and reviewing AML policies, conducting gap analyses, and providing staff training on AML and sanctions compliance.

Yes, most crypto businesses that exchange, transfer or custody digital assets for clients qualify as financial intermediaries under Swiss AMLA and must obtain SRO membership unless they hold a FINMA licence that already covers AML supervision. We advise on your exact obligations based on your specific business model.
